ADIDAS FLOW TEAM TOUR

San Diego

We kicked off our "2nd Annual Adidas Super Radical Flow Team Tour..'07" in San Diego during the ASR circus with, of course, absolutely perfect weather. Booyeah.

We rented not one, but two vans, and patiently waited for all our adi-friends to fly in at the airport. These individuals consisted of Jon "Nugget" Nguyen (poor guy) from San Jose CA, Mike Derrick and Alex Davies from Portland OR, Jake Nunn and Ryan Holloway from Austin TX, Derek Fukuhara from Orange CA, Al "Butters" Davis from Cincinatti OH, Taylor Bingaman from Sacramento CA, and new addition to the am team Vince Del Valle, who recently moved from his home in Kenmore WA down to the greener pastures of Long Beach CA.

At ASR we did the usual: negotiated a few multi-million dollar deals with industry bigwigs, and spent some quality time with the Reef models. What Mike D here doesn't know is that they were actually PAID to be into him. Aww, poor fella.

Nugget broke out to meet up with some of his buddies from Dwindle to grab boards and hang out for a little while. Little did he know they had conspired to un-sober him before returning him to us. Several beers and jaeger shots later, we finally came by and picked him up. When he got in the van he wasted no time and professed his undying love for us all...and shortly thereafter pissed himself in the back seat. Smooth operator!

...he then went on to do what he's 2nd best at in this world...

After all our energy drink deals were secured, we hit the streets of S.D. and Encinitas with hopes of documenting some skateboarding maneuvers. Great success! More spots than you could flip a skateboard at.

We bitch slapped Nugget back into sobriety and headed out to the Black Box warehouse to skate and pick up Pete Eldridge who's been filming with the Mystery team over the last few weeks. Philly represent!

We ended the day back in the city with a very classy Italian dinner, compliments of Cody Goldberg and Jess Weinstein at adidas. "What in the frick is an appetizer?"

Eventually, we said shaka to the Pacific Ocean and made our way east to endure the intense heat of the Phoenix sun. Thanks goes out to Dave McSween at Black Box for showing us around Encinitas, and to the rest of the folks at Black Box for letting us skate your park. Keep the skate stoke alive fellas.
